GFH Alia National School follows an American curriculum, combined with the Bahrain Ministry of Education syllabus for Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Social Studies. The school is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), and also holds the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) and ASDAN accreditation.

Every child at Alia is taught as an individual, and admissions work the same way. Before a child joins, we take the time to understand them: who they are, how they learn, and what they need to do well. A balanced, thriving community
Alia is proud of the community it has built, and we look after it carefully. We aim for a balanced mix of children in every class, so that teaching stays strong for everyone and every child gets the attention they came for. Because of this, places in some year groups are limited, and we may keep a waiting list. Applying early is always wise.
What Alia is like when you walk in
Some things are hard to describe in a brochure. Alia is a friendly school. Teachers know every student by name. Staff say good morning in the corridors. The receptionist will remember your child on your second visit. Nobody yells. When a child has a hard day, someone notices. This is not a policy. It is what the place is like, and the best way to know if it is right for your family is to come and feel it for yourself.
Telling us about your child
The more we understand about your child, the better we can support them. We ask families to share openly anything that helps us help your child, including any diagnosed needs or previous support. This is never a barrier. It is the opposite: it is how we make sure the right help is in place from the start, so that no child arrives and struggles quietly while we catch up.
