Careers

Join a school that teaches every child as an individual.

GFH Alia National School looks for teachers, specialists, and support staff who share the school’s commitment to knowing every student, holding high expectations, and doing the work of teaching well.

Working at GFH Alia National School

Working here is not for everyone. The school teaches every child as an individual, holds high expectations across the range of learners in every classroom, and expects its staff to hold each other to the same standard the school asks between children and teachers. This is not the school for teachers who prefer to be left to their own room and their own methods.

It is a school for teachers who want to be known, want to know their students, and want to work in a professional culture where support is real, standards are held, and the small things (a corridor greeting, noticing when a colleague is having a hard week, recognising work well done) are part of the daily texture of the place.

What we look for

  • Strong subject or phase expertise, held to genuine professional standards.
  • Willingness to plan for the actual range of children in the room, not the average.
  • Warmth as behaviour, not as label. Teachers who know their students by name from day one.
  • Openness to feedback and to holding colleagues to a shared standard.
  • Interest in continuing professional development. The school invests in staff who invest in themselves.
